2月のY3プログラム

一段と寒さの厳しい２月ですが、それでも少しづつ日が長くなり春を感じます。
STUDIO Y3のカフェではイブニングアートパーティーが続きます。
ゆっくりじっくりアーティストの話を聞いてみませんか？
また、各アトリエでは３月のCAPアートマーケットに向けて準備が進んでいます。
CLUB Q2は相変わらずのゆるゆるとした時間ですが、窓からのぴりっとした冬の海も素敵です。

Sat. 5th - Sun. 6, March. "Window", an installation of work by Mami Yamada.
Ms. Yamada's work deals with the relation of everyday objects, clocks, thermometers and utensils juxtaposed to each other.

Sun. 13th Workshop"Love & Shell Let's make KAIAWASE.
KAIAWASE is a shell game whose origins date back to the Heian Period.
In the workshop we will make paintings on the shells.

【Y3アトリエ訪問】
今回の「CAPだより」表紙は、4階の403号室で制作しているアメリカ人、ポール・ベネさんのアトリエ風景です。大きな身体でゆったりと活動しています。

ポール・ベネ(Paul VENET)
このところ写真、ビデオ、そしてドローイングの交錯するところで作品制作を続けています。特に最近、写真作品でチャンスオペレーションの手法を用いているのですが、久しぶりにジョン・ケージを読み返すと新たな制作のエネルギーが湧いてきました。今年はこのチャンスオペレーションによる制作をしばらく続けていくつもりです。ギャラリー#2での個展「Leaving By Chance」にも是非お越しください。・・・ポール・ベネ

My current work deals with certain intersections of photography, video
and drawing. Recently I have been using chance operations to shape my
photographic practice. Re-reading John Cage after many years has
brought new energy to my work. This year I'll continue to experiment
with chance operation in my work.・・・Paul Venet
